Guest post from Rachel from Modern Mommyhood.
Like many young women, I used to dream of having my own home some day. I couldn't wait to pick out my beautiful furniture that would compliment my spectacular paint jobs and breathtaking wall decor. Then my fiance and I got married, bought a house, and the bills came marching one by one. We furnished our home with garage sale bargains and our parent's hand-me-downs. The walls lacked color and the decor was a random mix of wedding gifts and family photos.
I've been married for almost three years now, and our home is finally starting to look a little more like our own. Decorating on a budget can be difficult, but I have found many ways to perk up our space without spending our entire paycheck.
